Mallie's Friends Research Legacy
The "21" Club
"The 21 Club" offers an exclusive opportunity to be one of only 21 Mallie's Friends donors who make an extraordinary commitment to speeding the course of research. These 21 members will collectively generate $64,500 over the next three years (June '07- June '10) and become the driving force behind raising $110,000 in support of the Mallie's Friends Research Legacy.
In late 2006, a private donor established a two-year Research Fellowship (starts June '07) with their generous $110,000 gift. Since Mallie's father is on the Board of Directors for the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation, a "Board Challenge" matching program generated an additional $55,000 to fund a third year. The private donor challenged Mallie's father to raise $110,000 over the next three years in order to sustain the Research Fellowship for an additional two years starting in June, 2009.
